Hey Tyler!

We’ve got a lot going on and plenty of reasons to get out of the house.

Tonight, Taste of Tyler brings more than 30 local restaurants together for a bite-sized culinary celebration that benefits the next generation of East Texas chefs. This weekend, True Vine turns 12 (happy birthday to one of Tyler's favorite spots 🎉), Bob Schneider hits the Stanley's stage Friday night, and Tyler State Park has a full lineup of outdoor programming — from a family paint event to a night hike under the stars.

On the news front, Tyler City Council officially adopted the Tyler Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, a 20-year roadmap for how our city grows through 2045. And if you missed the blue fireball that lit up East Texas skies last Saturday — NASA confirmed it was a meteor streaking across our skies.

Lots to cover. Let's get into it!

The plan is designed to steer decisions around land use, transportation, housing, infrastructure, and more as Tyler continues to add nearly 1,000 new residents each year. It also includes specific frameworks for the UT Tyler area and North Tyler revitalization. Read more

April is historically one of the strongest months to list a home in Texas—and it’s not by accident.

As we close out March let's look ahead to one of the hottest months to list. Historically in April, buyer demand is surging. Families want to be settled before the next school year, the weather makes it easier to get out and tour homes, and more buyers are actively watching the market after sitting on the sidelines through winter. In East Texas especially, we see a noticeable jump in showings and online activity this time of year.

At the same time, inventory hasn’t fully caught up yet. That creates a window where sellers face less competition while buyer urgency is climbing. More eyes + fewer options = stronger offers and better terms. It’s why we consistently see well-priced homes move quickly in April—because the right price changes everything, especially when timing is on your side.

If you’ve been even thinking about making a move, this is a great time to see where you stand. You can get a quick look at what your home could sell for here:
